So. We meet again. It was foolish of you to believe I had perished in that burning boxcar. You must know it would take more than that to stop me.

My loyal henchmen [info]wearemany, [info]ukcalico, and [info]kormantic have been monitoring the communication satellites and inform me that conditions are prime for my latest evil plan. It's only a matter of time before you will be bowing before me as your leader.

I know what you're thinking, that Superman will save you, but I've taken care of your flying blue Boy Scout, and now there is nothing to prevent me from unleashing my fiendish plot upon the world!

Dude, it's hard work being evil. For one thing, you can't say "dude," so that pretty much disqualifies me. Also, you sound ridiculous.

This story isn't fiendish so much as it's, well, the opposite of that. I'll let you find your own adjectives. It's related to Freshman Orientation in that I consider it to take place in the same universe, but I'll let you make up your own mind about that, too.

See, I'm just not cut out for the evil. Because would evil answer feedback? I think not. That is just one of the many things that distinguishes me from your average supervillain. I answer feedback, any kind, whether you leave me a comment here or in e-mail.

You haven't heard the last of me.

Awww. I like it. And I've remembered now why I always love reading your stuff; it's the little funny details that make me happy.

Lex yelling at his Nintendo game makes me very very happy, because I yell like that at all my games. Good times. And placing "Gotham" a few paragraphs before "Bruce" was excellent, excellent work (and the quote was hysterical-- "cute", hah!), subtle enough to be fun, not pushing it any. Very, very nice. Is there crossover in your future? I could beg. A lot. A lot a lot.

Believe me, I loved being able to name-drop Bruce Wayne. Shana (wearemany) and I actually have an idea for a story where Clark and Lex go to visit Bruce in Gotham. Maybe we'll get around to writing that one of these days. Good to hear from you!

Lex says, passing a hand over his head, a gesture so haunted that Clark feels like he's back in Smallville, fifteen years old and in the castle for the first time.

Just one of the reasons I loved this story. There are so many more but I'd be quoting the whole story. I loved it. All the little details added so much to it.

I only let Lex touch his head on special occasions. He's too composed to allow it to become a frequent nervous gesture, so this way it makes it even more meaningful when he gives in to the impulse. Thanks for the note. :)

Lex comes from a broken home. Clark just lives in one.

AHAHAHAHA. Indeed. <huge smile> This looks very shiny now, ship-shape and ready to roll. =)

Okay, the summary is almost my favorite part of the whole thing. And thanks again for all the help. I hope I managed to patch up at least a few of the holes.

All the holes! Because by fixing the end and tweaking the middle, the rest seemed to come into alignment by itself. So *much* with the yay.

Also: "You could build things." and ...apparently experiencing severe short-term memory loss. are officially my favourite lines all week. purr.

*happysigh*

I loved Freshman Orientation. I love Domestic Relations too. Lex's trust that's the sexiest thing about him. Lex not bothering to feed Yoshi. Clark holding him between his legs.

*helpless smile*

You're happy, and that makes *me* happy. :) Glad you liked the fic. And, really, is it any wonder Lex and Yoshi don't get along? Lex can't stand neediness.

I don't mind you friending me at all, for whatever reasons, but I do feel like I should warn you that I only post about a story a month. I write slow!

Thanks for the note. :)

That's very good to hear! Sequels are always a little nerve-wracking because there's a possibility they'll be a letdown. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

It's been months since I've read Smallville, but somehow I got the desire to go read some good SV stories, and have been working my way through your site... just wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying them all, and how much I love your writing. :)

This was wonderfully domestic, and I loved the fact that I had *no idea* what was going on - relationship wise - until you specifically came out and told me. You just write these two so well, and the character's lend themselves to slash so (seemingly, I know your wiles) easily, that I couldn't figure out the depth of their 'factual' relationship until it was spelled out for all and sundry.

I'm loving your website. Gonna go back and read some more ;-)

This was very fun. I especially liked this line:

"I was not yelling at the television set," Lex says, apparently experiencing severe short-term memory loss.

One of the advantages of writing Lex in an established relationship is that Lex gets to be sulky and Clark actually notices. Thanks for the comment!
